With more than 33 years of dental experience and over 40 years in health care comfortably delivers high tech dentistry with old fashion personal care. He takes time to explain his diagnostic finding, informs you of the treatment options and keeps your priorities in mind.

1968-1981

The Journey

Dr. DiMiceli began his healthcare career as a medical technologist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur shortly after graduating high school and continued at M.D. Anderson. After graduating from the University of Houston where he completed his Bachelors of Science in 1978, he worked in the petrochemical field as a quality control metallurgist. He both researched and developed powder coatings for pipelines, which furthered his experience with working with materials used in dentistry. Thereafter, he worked as the President of Distribution at Bailey Smith Corporation from 1978-81.

1981-1985

Spreading Wings

He then went on to receive his doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1985.

1985

Honors Conferred

Dr. DiMiceli has had the honor of receiving three letters of commendation from Governor Clements for three consecutive years—1987, 88, and 89. This is an honor that is bestowed to one Texas dentist per year to reward outstanding service for the State of Texas’ patients.

He authored the first AIDS Patient Care Policy and Procedures for Texas’s dental clinics in the fall of 1986. He also authored the first statewide Infection Control Policy and Procedures for the State of Texas in the spring of 1987.

Your Dental Family

On gaining vast insight into oral healthcare, Dr. DiMiceli initiated his independent practice in dentistry in 1991. Over the years, Dr. DiMiceli has grown New Dawn Dental into a practice that provides a wide range of services and diagnostics. He enjoys spending time with his loving family, which includes his wife Shirin, his two children Camille and Chris, and his grandchildren. His team consists of two highly professional associates—Karen Molano and Dr. Isabel Granados, who strive to provide the most wonderful experience for their patients with the help of excellent teamwork.
